Our developmental “micro” soccer program offers children under the age of 7 an introduction to the game in an age-appropriate manner. The focus of our program is to help your child develop a love for the sport of soccer. Introduction to the game and the fundamental skills of soccer will delivered in a variety of fun activities geared to bring laughter, enjoyment, and the love of the game to your child. The Micro season runs games/practices weekly. Players are placed on coed teams and organized to promote even teams and an equal number of boys and girls. Each week the teams will hold a practice session immediately followed by a game.
Most successful soccer athletes are successful because, at a young age, someone passed on a love for the sport. This passion is most contagious in a FUN environment that promotes the development of confident and creative players. The formula for creating this environment includes several key attributes: Confidence with the Ball, Understanding of the Game, Being Part of a Team, Creativity with Play
This environment allows the game to teach itself. The athletes should ‘naturally’ develop the skills, confidence and creativity needed to be successful in the sport. With a cast of enthusiastic coaches and parents, how could the kids not have fun??!!
With the right set up, we can encourage our children to love the game with the understanding that not everyone will. However, if we have provided the best environment for our young athletes, they should at least walk away with some quality life skills.
Micro players should have the following for games/practice: Spikes/Cleats, Shin guards, Size 3 ball. Something to drink
How to become a part of the program:
Please register to be a part of another exciting season of Logan Soccer. Micro Soccer cost is $90 for players with birth years from 1/1/2017 to 12/30/2020. You do not have to be a Logan resident to play for Logan Soccer Club. We welcome children from all surrounding townships.
